Dear Friends,

As the immense devastation of the Oso landslide becomes fully known it is truly unimaginable. I join many of you in continued prayer for the broken hearted, those who have lost loved ones, our first responders, volunteers and their communities.

I would like to share with you some links providing information about recovery and relief efforts.

How you can help

If you or anyone you know would like to help or donate to relief efforts, the links below should be helpful. Here are some of the organizations involved in the rescue and relief efforts. I join the Secretary of State in reminding people there are scam artists out there who are willing to take advantage of people's generosity. I am deeply moved to be a part of such a caring community.

United Way of Snohomish County

Coastal Community Bank is accepting donations for slide victims at all branches: Darrington, Camano Island, Everett, Monroe, Stanwood, Sultan, Silver Lake, Smokey Point, Snohomish and Whidbey Island CoastalBank.com. You can find more information here.

Union Bank donations- They've raised more than $127,000 of their $150,000 goal

A Disaster Relief Account for Oso landslide victims has been set up at Union Bank in downtown Arlington at 525 North Olympic Ave. The account is through Cascade Valley Hospital Health Foundation (checks should be addressed to Cascade Valley Hospital Health Foundation). Checks can be mailed to Union Bank at PO Box 278 Arlington, WA 98223 and donations dropped off at any Union Bank or at the Cascade Valley Hospital. 100% of funds go to the disaster victims.

You can also visit this website to donate online.

Red Cross donations
If you wish to help victims of the Oso mudslide, cash donations are preferred. The American Red Cross is no longer collecting items.
